Male stripper, Stuart Kennedy, better known as Sergeant Eros, was again denied the right to clear his name after his latest trial was postponed for the second time at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
Kennedy, 26 who was arrested for the seventh time last October whilst he stood on "I just feel so let-down by the justice system. All I want is the chance for the facts of the case to come out, which will prove my innocence and to be allowed to move on with my life. When the case is eventually heard, the dirty tricks used by Grampian Police and the Fiscal just so that they can try and protect their own reputations will become apparent. I haven't done anything wrong but for another 4 months I will have to live on bail and with this case hanging over me. I wouldn't wish this campaign of harassment, intimidation and court frustration upon anyone." Kennedy was first arrested in March 2007 when two female officers watched his act as a stripping policeman before arresting him for being in possession of an offensive weapon. The case was later thrown out of the local Sheriff court; however the Fiscal’s Office appealed the decision only for the High Court in To date, Kennedy has been arrested seven times, spent 125 hours in Police custody and around 30 days in court with no convictions.

“To allow a police force to simply investigate itself just isn’t good enough. I know of many people who have submitted complaints to the police only to have to wait up to 12 months for a whitewash response that says nothing more than their complaints were investigated and there was no evidence for them to be upheld. We need a definitive and radical look at the protection of individuals in this country when it comes to the powers of the police."
